Mulan is a 1998 American animated musical coming-of-age [3] action-adventure film based on the Chinese legend of Hua Mulan, and produced by Walt Disney Feature Animation.
Mulan is inspired by the legendary Hua Mulan. She is the eighth official Disney Princess, the only one not to be of royal lineage either by birth or marriage. She is the last Disney Princess to be developed during the Disney Renaissance and also the 20th century.
Helped by her outrageously funny guardian dragon Mushu and a lucky cricket named Cri-Kee, Mulan fights for the respect of her fellow warriors and their courageous Captain Shang, for her family's honor, and for the fate of all of China.
