My personal favorite Psi Warrior build from a thematic and mechanical standpoint is a great weapon master based grappling build that I came up with when trying to make a Psi Warrior that feels psionic. To start, pick the simic hybrid race. I would personally either reflavor the animal enhancements as psionic powers of an era that mutations.

I dislike that the psi dice are long rest resets and only one resets on short rest. That said I'm not sure how this will affect the enjoyment of the class as this is theoretical but Battle Master is fun because it's a short rest subclass. Resistance to psychic damage at 10th level is pretty disappointing and almost so useless it's a ribbon.
Cons with 5000 psi are that it snaps much faster, and will also crack much faster. You have to be incredibly quick with the control joints, and we've had it crack before we were even done finishing. We had to do a driveway tear out that basically exploded on us. Batch plant sent 5000 psi as a "favor" even though we told them twice 4000 psi.
Warning to those taking the PSI online proctored exam for the CISA So I passed my exam with a 485. I studied off and on for over a year and have 10 years of experience in the field of IT. TLDR: If you have the opportunity, I HIGHLY recommend taking the exam at a physical location rather than through PSI online proctoring service.
