According to info on the web, for example this Youtube vid, "wallah" means "I swear by God". What I don't get is, first, if "Allah" is pronounced with emphasis on the second syllable (al- LAH), why, when it is combined with "wa" into "wallah", does it sound like the emphasis is completely on the first syllable (WAL -la).
