A convicted sex offender mistakenly released from a London prison has been arrested after more than a week of freedom

A man who was mistakenly released from HMP Wandsworth has turned himself in after a four day manhunt. BIlly Smith was accidentally released from the south-west London prison on Monday. Surrey Police has now confirmed he turned himself back in at the same prison.

Brahim Kaddour-Cherif was spotted by a member of the public in north London today after being freed in error on 29 October.
